CERTIFICATIONS
Renol® Certified Recyclable in Interzero’s “Made for Recycling”
Renol®, our bio-based thermoplastics composed of lignin and bio-oil, is designed to reduce CO2 emissions in the plastics industry. It is also recyclable in both open- and closed-loop recycling systems. We let the German institute Interzero assess two packaging applications containing Renol®; one PE film and one PP bucket for their “Made for Recycling” certification. Both were certified recyclable with the excellent score of 19/20 points, corresponding to the classification “very good” recyclability.
Interzero’s “Made for Recycling” certification is based on German standard for recyclable packaging, aligned with EU packaging rules. Packaging recyclability is based on three criterias: Existing collection system, Sortability and Suitability for mechanical recycling.
