e-commerce bags
Our e-commerce bags offer the functionality of traditional plastic without the environmental cost. As consumers demand more sustainable solutions and brands and industries are under pressure to adopt sustainable alternatives and reduce their dependency on fossil fuels - our bags deliver the strength, durability, and flexibility of conventional plastics while being fully recyclable and significantly reducing CO2 emissions.
Choosing our packaging means your brand stays ahead, embracing both top-tier performance and sustainability in today’s competitive market.
- By combining Renol® with biobased and recycled plastics, we significantly reduce the CO2 footprint - and can even reach a Net Zero e-commerce bag.
- Recyclable as normal LDPE plastics.
- Same functionality & properties as current e-commerce plastic.
- Lignin is a byproduct of the forestry and agricultural industries and is one of Earth’s most abundant organic materials. Our biobased plastic is a scalable solution.

Enabling net zero e-commerce bags
By combining Renol® with biobased and recycled plastics, we significantly reduce the CO2 footprint of e-commerce bags.
We offer two options:
- a Net Zero e-commerce bag (cradle-to-gate), as shown in the graph.
- a CO2-reducing bag with a different formulation for enhanced scalability.
FAQs
-
The bags contain lignin, biobased materials, recycled plastics and additives.
-
The bags are detectable and will be sorted as LDPE in conventional recycling streams, this has been tested at Svensk Plaståtervinning. The material is also NIR detectable and passes in a sink and float sorting unit.
-
Lignin Industries e-commerce bags are not biodegradable or compostable according to European Union EN standards. However, this is actually a benefit, as they are designed to be recyclable, contributing to a circular economy rather than breaking down into the environment.
-
The e-commerce bag contains lignin and other biobased materials, which has absorbed carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, functioning as a carbon sink. This enables us to reach negative CO2 values and NetZero products. For more information see our LCA, verified by SWECO, that you can find above next to the graph.
-
We control and take responsibility of our production and process until the product leaves our gate, in this case our partners gates that produces the bags. How and what the material is used for after that is outside of our control, therefore we present cradle-to-gate.
Cradle to grave data can be provided in collaboration with end user.
